Dr. Hungler’s research program focuses on developing the next generation of simulation and is focused on Intelligent, Dynamically Adaptive Simulation.  This features the use of Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR) in several domains including engineering, education and medicine.

In order to advance the science of simulation, Dr. Hungler and his research team focus on 5 key areas:

Enhanced Fidelity

Dr. Hungler’s track record of funding includes, NSERC RTI, Aerospace Engineering Research Advisory Committee, Canadian Defence Academy Applied Research Program, eCampus Ontario, Hazell Endowment for Innovation and Design and Innovation for Defence Excellence and Security (IDEaS).

Funding of over $1 million was received from (IDEaS) for Developing Intelligent, Adaptive Simulation and Operational Support to Augment Trauma Response Readiness.
